Ladies and Gentleman...For Your Viewing Pleasure...

Blogged out...

So as much as i tried to catch up on these blogs the past few days i must admit that i remember why it was so hard for me to do in the first place. I'm just not a blogger. I can't talk on about myself and find a way to make it interesting to others that i don't really know. I guess im just a shy blogger and a much easier person to talk to in person because i just can never blog out my thoughts and feelings the way they are all up in my head.

I Tara Judge, am a blog failure. I'm all out of ideas, but I did save the best post for last...

Time Motion Reflections

As time motion draws to a close I'm looking back on a semester that went by extremely fast. I remember looking at the projects we'd be doing at first and not knowing if i would like them or not. At the conclusion of time motion I am happy to say that i enjoyed every project we did, especially the last structured movie we made, which is my personal favorite.
The zoetropes scared me at first, but after a few tries I got it and entertained myself for a little while with some old fashion moving images. The flipbooks required a lot of work and money for the prints, but were definitely well worth it. I'm happy with how mine came out and especially glad i decided to paint on top of my prints rather than the original marker i had on them. The experimental videos confused me at first, so i just went with it and shot whatever and luckily a rain storm during the time of the shoot was the exact motivation i needed.
The final book/dvd project was definitely the most fun. I'm very pleased with how my book turned out for the most part and especially proud of how my video turned out. At first i was very skeptical of a movie with mainly pictures and two speaking lines, which made me nervous for the final product, but I must say that i think i pulled it together pretty well.

I am definitely happy with my decision to take time motion over 3d and can't wait to use what I've learned about photo and film in my Graphic Design career.

Summer Fun

I figure since tomorrow starts my summer that i should write about my summer this year and my plans. When i get home to Jersey i first plan to relax and then hit the beach. I'll be working intensely this summer to pay of my bills for next year and have a decent bit of spending money on the side. In early June i plan on taking a roadtrip to Canada to stay at my best friend's grandparent's lake house for a week or so, which should be super fun. June 13th is my birthday so i plan to have a fun celebration around the time i get back from Canada. After that its work work work until July 3, when i get to go to Ireland for 2 weeks. I can't wait to travel to the land of my heritage and to take amazing pictures of the beautiful things that it has in store. Once back to the states on the 14th I have to get my energy flowing for hopefully 4 311 concerts, the best band on the face of the earth :). And then around that time i should be getting a job in Philly and settling down in my house.

Quite a fun-filled and packed summer ahead of me, but why is it taking so long to get here?!?!

Sony does it again!!

Another Sony commercial, but this time not for their Bravia televisions, but for their cameras. Another genius use of material, this video takes place in Miami and is filled with tons and tons of foam! It's crazy to see how fast the foam spreads, i wish so badly that i could have been around for the shoot because who wouldn't have fun in all of the foam, lets be honest?

ENJOY!

Battle at Kruger

A few months ago i was stumbling through youtube and i found this video. And recently the Discovery Channel did a special on it because of the popularity it's received. The Battle at Kruger Creek is a video portraying time motion in the safari between lions, water buffalo, and alligators. It's crazy to see how the events keep changing over time and how the tide switches back and forth between the battle of the animals at the creek. Aside from the annoying voices in the background, the footage is phenomenal and not only sparks my interest for nature, but also makes me want to go explore the world.

WAHOOO!!!!!!!

So all of my final work is done for now except of course for the backed up blogs!

I just finished editing my dvd, which is now burning and just finished my book :)!

Now alls i have left to do is to find that flipbook of mine =/.

oh and pack of course which i haven't even started to do and I'm leaving tomorrow right after the time motion crit...ohh gees.

The Latest and the Greatest!

With each release of their new commercials you can't help but wonder how they are going to top the next one, but their latest paint commercial is most definitely their greatest. I can't wait to see the next one. ENJOY!

Stop Motion Giant Clay Rabbits!!

This commercial was filmed in New York and was all actually made on the scene using stop motion effects. I wish i could have been in New York while they were filming this, its absolutely amazing.

Sony Bravia...pure genius!

I am about to grace you with the most amazing commercials i believe to ever be created. These commercials can be found on European TV and are all about "colour" for selling their brand of TVs. The ideas for all of their commercial are pure genius and each one makes me want to work on a project that size someday.

Props Sony Bravia! Ill start with their first commercial and end with their latest.

My Experimental Film

Above is my final cut of my experimental film from a few months back. Definitely one of the harder projects because a film with no point is hard to make last 3 minutes, but i had fun with all of the colors and music. I'm okay with my final product, but think i could have made the transitions a little better and maybe used different sounds and music choices, but i still enjoy it.

Look at for my narrative film in the upcoming posts....PREY!

ketchup time

So its Sunday May 11 and I'm preparing for finals and getting all my stuff prepared very content with my progress and then all of a sudden the word BLOG crosses my sight on a time motion paper. I must admit that I completely forgot about the blog and this is my sad post number 6. So from now until Wednesday...it's BLOG TIME.

The latest time motion related thing that caught my movie was the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Especially coinciding with the narrative videos we are now creating, this movie caught that idea perfectly. Each shot and scene progresses the viewer through time and through the mentality of Johnny Depp and his "attorney". This crazy story about a trip through the desert filled with ridiculous stories is a definite recommendation and an amazing example of time motion narrative story telling.
